Waterford United 1, Limerick 5: A powerful finish in the final 10 minutes from Limerick saw the Shannonsiders keep up their unbeaten run in the SSE Airtricity League of Ireland First Division as they proved too strong for Waterford United at the RSC last night.

They took the lead with 14 minutes on the clock when Sean Russell whipped in a cross from the left that found the head of Chris Mulhall, who got to the ball before keeper Matthew Sheehan, to find the net from close range.

After Philly Gorman missed a great chance to level the tie for the hosts on 28 minutes, the Blues were level on 41 minutes when Robert Bayly picked up a cross from Cory Galvin before he beat keeper Freddy Hall with a stunning effort from 25 yards.
