Waterford lose again as James English the hat-trick hero for Shelbourne

Waterford United lost for their second successive First Division game last season as Shelbourne coasted to a 4-1 win at the RSC.

After last week’s defeat at Cobh Ramblers, the Blues needed a response but were well beaten by a Shels side who had James English shine with a hat-trick.

The Reds jumped up three places to third with the aid of slick start reflected by a two-goal interval lead. English grabbed both of them, his opener on 21 minutes from close range following a cross from Gavin Boyne.
