TERRACE TALK: Arsenal - Miserable campaign reaches nadir

With the sun on their backs and more than a hint of spring in the air, buoyed by the 0-4 win up at Hull in midweek, I was hopeful the Gunners might finally turn on the style against Watford.

However, sadly, in our spluttering, schizophrenic season, where this Arsenal side has staggered from one game to the next, without ever really blossoming into a cohesive, fully-focused unit, the most depressing thing about our FA Cup demise is that it really was no great surprise.

With Tottenham embarrassing themselves against Dortmund in midweek, I was teasing my Spurs pals that “the treble is still on”.
