Legend Ardiles slams Guardiola, hails Pochettino for fixing Spurs' soft centre

Ossie Ardiles has praised the job compatriot Mauricio Pochettino has done at his old club Tottenham.

"Pochettino has done an extraordinary job. Tottenham ain't easy, I played there for 10 years and I also became coach," Ardiles told Radio 10’s ‘De caño vale doble’ show.

“He made them think differently, Tottenham was a soft team and now they have another vibe. People are really fond of Mauricio.”

But the midfield maestro is unimpressed with the way the incoming Man City manager conducts his business.

Ardiles claims Pep Guardiola “lacks ethics” because he publicly announced his decision to quit Bayern Munich while Manuel Pellegrini was still in the Man City job.

"Guardiola is unethical. He makes deals with other clubs while there's still another coach working. I personally didn't like the way he made the arrangements.

“He had done the same thing when he started coaching the Bayern Munich.

“For me, he lacks ethics and I'm surprised that he approaches things like that. He is the best coach in the world and he can choose any team, he doesn't need to do something that way.”
