UCC defend crown as gruelling Collingwood gets into full swing
Cork is the venue for the 102nd year of the Collingwood Cup, the longest surviving all-Ireland soccer competition and one of the domestic game’s most storied trophies.
There have been a number of celebrated Collingwood alumni over the years, from Ireland and Manchester United great – not to mention All-Ireland winner with the Dubs – Kevin Moran, who won the trophy with UCD in 1976, to current Cork City manager John Caulfield who guided UCC to victory in 2011.
