Fifa sack secretary general Jerome Valcke
Valcke has been suspended since September 17 after ethics charges were brought against him over World Cup ticket sales and, it is understood, allegations over expenses including he used a privately-hired Fifa jet for personal and family travel.
A meeting of Fifa’s emergency committee has now decided to dismiss him from the organisation — the second time that has happened in his career after an enforced departure in 2006.
