El Hadji Diouf lashes out at ‘egotist’ Steven Gerrard

Former Liverpool player El Hadji Diouf has lashed out at some of his one-time Anfield colleagues, calling Steven Gerrard “an egotist” and Jamie Carragher “a turkey”.

The former Senegal international also turned his ire on former Glasgow rival Neil Lennon, who he has branded “a dickhead”.

Reflecting on his time at Anfield for French magazine So Foot, Diouf alleged Gerrard was more concerned with his own image than the progress of the club.
