James McClean says Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp is ‘an idiot’
Klopp criticised West Brom ’s style of play during Sunday’s 2-2 draw at Anfield when Liverpool needed a deflected stoppage time equaliser from Divock Origi to grab a point.
Albion wide-man McClean thinks Klopp needs to show the team more respect.
He said: “Obviously, look I have got respect for the man because he did a great job at Dortmund and that.
“But I think he is a bit of an idiot if I am being honest.
“On the game on Sunday you can’t act that way.
“Win, lose or draw you have got to be respectful.”
Meanwhile, Republic of Ireland U21 captain Darragh Lenihan has been told that he will not be leaving Blackburn Rovers in next month’s transfer window.
Lenihan, 21, has played just once for Blackburn this season and clubs are queuing up to take him on-loan.
But Blackburn’s manager Paul Lambert said: “Darragh is close to the team so I certainly won’t let him out on loan.
“I’ve been really impressed with him in the last couple of reserve and U21 games that I’ve seen.
“He’s definitely got a big chance in the game with the way that he plays so he’s one I won’t be letting out on loan.
“Centre midfield is where I see him playing,
“I know he could do a job at the back but the last two games I’ve seen he’s been very good in centre midfield.”
