Raheem Sterling can prove his worth, says Manuel Pellegrini

Manchester City boss Manuel Pellegrini believes Raheem Sterling is well on course for his best season in front of goal.

Pellegrini feels the 20-year-old forward, whose finishing ability has been criticised, has been working hard to improve his game since his £49m (70m) summer move from Liverpool.

Sterling was on target for the sixth time this season with the opening goal in Tuesday’s Champions League win at Sevilla.
