Dundalk’s waiting game for Stephen O’Donnell

Dundalk skipper Stephen O’Donnell will be given every chance to prove his fitness for Sunday’s FAI Cup final with Cork City at the Aviva Stadium.

But Lilywhites manager Stephen Kenny says he won’t gamble with his team selection as Dundalk chase a third double in the club’s history.

O’Donnell, who won a double with Bohemians in 2008, didn’t play in the recent 2-2 draw with Cork at Turner’s Cross in the clubs’ final league meeting of the season, a result that stretched Dundalk’s unbeaten record to nine matches (six wins) against Cork under Kenny.
