Walcott and Oxlade-Chamberlain to miss Arsenal’s next three games

The full price of Arsenal’s Capital One Cup mauling at the hands on Sheffield Wednesday is expected to become clear today with confirmation expected that Theo Walcott and Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain will miss their next three games.

Both players went off in Tuesday’s 3-0 defeat at Hillsborough — Walcott with a calf problem and Oxlade-Chamberlain a hamstring injury.

Manager Arsene Wenger later said he regretted starting Oxlade-Chamberlain and bringing on Walcott as his replacement before he too succumbed to injury.
