Arda Turan eyes move to Premier League
The Turkey international has two years left on his contract with the Spanish outfit and has been strongly linked with a move away from the Vicente Calderon stadium this summer.
âHis intention is to leave Spain this summer,â Turanâs agent Ahmet Bulut confirmed. âHis will is to leave and to play in the Premier League, that is the path he would like to take to continue his career. We are currently in talks with three teams but I cannot reveal the names of the clubs.
âHowever, I can tell you that they are the best in England and in European football.â
Turan, who joined Atletico in the summer of 2011 from Galatasaray from âŹ12 million, helped the Rojiblancos win the Copa del Rey three years ago and La Liga title during the 2013-14 campaign.
Porto forward Jackson Martinez has chosen to join Atletico this summer, according to his agent.
AC Milan were also interested in signing Martinez but Atletico appear to have won the race to land the 28-year-old.
âWeâve completed the deal,â Martinezâs agent Luis Henrique Pompeo indicated.
âWe want to thank AC Milan, who tried until the end, we feel very honoured but one cannot be in two places at the same time.
âAtletico is a very big club that has done important things domestically and in Europe and Jackson is going there with the will to achieve great aims and bring out the best of him. Thatâs his hope. He is very happy and convinced he has made the right choice.â
Atletico are set to pay FC Porto âŹ35m to acquire Martinezâs sporting rights and the South American is expected to put pen to paper on a four-year deal.
Kokeâs agent has admitted his client is âflatteredâ to be linked with a move to Barcelona, but ruled out a transfer this summer insisting the Spain midfielder is happy at Atletico Madrid.
âWe are not surprised but flattered,â Kokeâs agent Inaki Espizua said. âItâs great to hear these kinds of things, especially from a club like Barca, but right now the playerâs position is very clear.
âHe feels he is a key part of Atletico de Madridâs plans for the future and I therefore have very little else to add.â
And Roma have joined Liverpool and AC Milan in the race to sign Sevilla forward Carlos Bacca this summer.
Bacca, who is under contract with Sevilla until June 2018, has attracted the attention of top European clubs after his heroics inspired Sevilla to their second successive Europa League crown this season.
Roma have reportedly made a âŹ25m bid to acquire the Colombia international.
