Parma coach Roberto Donadoni was left “disgusted” by comments made by Napoli’s players and directors after their meeting on Sunday which ended 2-2.

Failure to win at Parma has hurt Napoli’s chances to climb into the top three in Serie A, which is needed to qualify for next season’s Champions League.

According to Donadoni, several Napoli players told their Parma counterparts they should have been willing to lose their game since they are already relegated. “I was there and I heard what was said after the game,” Donadoni said to the Italian press. “To have people tell us that we should lose just because we are bankrupt and already relegated is disgusting and shameful.”
