McClean tackle leaves Milik out for a month

James McClean’s crunching tackle on Arkadiusz Milik has put the Ajax star out of action for at least a month.

Both Milik and the Polish team doctor described the challenge from the Ireland substitute during Sunday’s 1-1 draw as “scary”.

McClean left the Ajax attacker in a heap by haring into a 50/50 tackle for what was his first involvement having just been introduced as a substitute on 68 minutes.
