Much-coveted Argentinean youngster Paulo Dybala wants to join Arsenal should he leave Palermo for the Premier League, according to the president of the Italian club.

Wenger approach makes Arsenal Dybala’s "first choice"

Maurizio Zamparini confirmed that Arsenal and Juventus have both made offers for the player but Arsenal may need to go close to the record fee paid for Mesut Ozil to push a deal through.

"Someone like Dybala cannot be worth less than €40m," Zamparini told Italian radio station Marte Sport.

“He would prefer to stay in Italy - he still wants to play in Serie A.”

“[Pierpaolo] Triulzi, the lad’s agent will be in Italy on Friday. I’m asking for more than €40m.

"Of the English clubs that have shown interest, though, Arsenal is his first choice because of the way [Arsene] Wenger makes his team play."

Dybala has scored 12 goals in 27 Serie A appearances this season, as well as laying on seven assists.

Chelsea and Manchester United have also been linked with the player, who has been likened in style to Sergio Agüero.
