Bournemouth star Harry Arter so proud to answer Ireland call

Harry Arter has declared he’s only interested in representing the Republic of Ireland for the right reasons after his first call-up yesterday.

The Bournemouth midfielder was the surprise name on Martin O’Neill’s 35-man provisional squad for the Euro 2016 qualifier with Poland on March 29, but he is determined to make his mark.

The London-born player qualifies through his grandmother, from Sligo, and first pulled on the green jersey at Under 16 level. So it’s long been his dream to make his senior bow.
