Shane O’Neill strike seals shock Cabinteely EA Sports Cup win against UCD
In a match they ran, UCD blew a chance to finally take the lead on 87 minutes when Eoin Kirwan’s penalty, awarded for a foul on Chris Mulhall, was brilliantly pushed onto a post by Evan Whelan.
But then Cabinteely struck. Played through by Evan Finnegan in the 93rd minute, O’Neill found the net with an angled shot off the far post despite Mackey getting a finger-tip to the ball.
