Derby thumping doesn’t stop Real’s Ronaldo birthday bash

Fellow Spanish sports daily Marca led similarly with ‘Atletico Steamroller — pitiful Madrid get cleaned out’.

Both referred to Atletico Madrid’s 4-0 hammering of their much bigger neighbours Real on Saturday. That was Atletico’s first La Liga ‘derbi’ win at the Estadio Vicente Calderon of the 21st century, their biggest winning margin against Madrid since 1987, and completed a first league double over their richer rivals since 1950-51.
