Gunners set to move for teenager Bielik
The 6ft 2ins 17-year-old is viewed as an emerging prospect by Gunners boss Arsene Wenger, but Legia, who only signed the player last year and have him under contract until 2017, are holding out for a fee in excess of £2 million (€2.5m).
Bielik has told the Polish press of being impressed by Arsenal during a trip to England before Christmas.
He said: “I hope the two clubs come together and I go to London to fulfil my dreams.
“He (Wenger) knows that I have the skills, am determined to win and he wants to sign me as soon as possible.”
Arsenal are also said to be running the rule over 16-year-old Uruguayan attacking midfielder Federico Valverde from Penarol.
Bordeaux, meanwhile, believe they are close to agreeing a deal to take Yaya Sanogo on loan.
Wenger is keen for the France U21 forward to get some first-team experience, but had suggested he would prefer that to be at another English top-flight club.
But Bordeaux president, Jean-Louis Triaud said: “We are working on the arrival of Sanogo. He wants to come to us, it’s a certainty.”
