Dortmund swap Bundesliga for beer
Jurgen Klopp’s side are bottom of the Bundesliga after a 2-0 defeat to Eintracht Frankfurt at the weekend.
But in a show of solidarity with their supporters, captain Roman Weidenfeller and fellow first-team stars Mats Hummels, pictured above, Marco Reus, Ilkay Gundogan and Nevan Subotic all pitched in to help quench the thirst of the 1,000 strong crowd.
“BVB’s players signed autographs for over two and a half hours and finally served behind the bar, “another thank you for the fantastic support from the stands during a season that has so far brought little in the way of sporting cheer,” said a club statement.
