Embattled Newcastle manager Alan Pardew vowed to fight on despite last night’s 1-0 defeat to Stoke.

The loss means the Magpies remain winless in the Premier League this season but Pardew was in defiant mood afterwards.

He said: “We have to fight, I have to fight. The team has to fight and that’s what we’ll continue to do.
