Ronaldo rumours ’rubbish’

Real Madrid manager Carlo Ancelotti has rubbished claims Cristiano Ronaldo may return to Manchester United.

Ronaldo rumours ’rubbish’

The Portuguese star’s future at the Santiago Bernabeu has been under scrutiny after Ronaldo himself questioned the departures of both Angel Di Maria to Manchester United and Xabi Alonso to Bayern Munich.

Ronaldo also suggested he may finish his playing career at his former club, while United manager Louis van Gaal fuelled rumours claiming the Red Devils would be open to re-signing him after selling him to Real in 2009.

“It is possible (United will buy Ronaldo); what I said with (Radamel) Falcao, players like Ronaldo give a lot extra to our selection or to a team, but I don’t think Real Madrid shall sell him.”

Recent reports claimed the Premier League giants will have to pay around £150m to convince Real Madrid to part ways with their biggest star but Ancelotti said the rumours were “nonsense”.
