Manager happy for Roy to vent

Martin O’Neill isn’t the first and won’t be the last to suggest that Roy Keane is a ticking time bomb.

And yesterday, despite having been reluctant to speak about his assistant since he left Ireland last Wednesday, the manager joked he was prepared to allow the Corkman one or two blow-outs.

But there is a line, insisted the jovial O’Neill as Robbie Keane chuckled alongside him, and we’ll all know what that line is when the time comes.
