Morocco set to name Trap
Although there has been no confirmation from the Moroccan Football Federation, it is being claimed the former Republic of Ireland boss has agreed a four-year deal to manage the ‘Atlas Lions’ who will be the hosts of the Africa Cup of Nations next year.
Reports also suggest Marco Tardelli, his Ireland assistant, is set to reprise that role in Morocco.
If the deal is officially confirmed — and it’s worth noting that Trap has been linked with a host of jobs since being let go by the FAI last September — it would mean that, should results go his way, the 75-year-old Trapattoni would also be in charge for another Cup of Nations campaign as well as qualification for the 2018 World Cup in Russia.
