Caulfield to drive on

With the opening night out of the way, Cork City manager John Caulfield is confident his side can continue to put in good performances in the SSE Airtricity League Premier Division.

Caulfield to drive on

Last Friday, City drew 1-1 with champions St Patrick’s Athletic and followed that up with an easy victory over Limerick in the EA Sports Cup on Monday. With a trip to Derry City coming up this weekend, Caulfield is calling on his players to maintain a positive attitude.

“The hype for the first match was there for so long, and with Pat’s coming down as champions, it was nearly over-hyped in some ways,” he said.
