Gibson is finally fit after recovering from the knee ligament problem suffered in last month’s pre-season friendly against Real Betis.

While Gibson — who this week announced his intention to play for Ireland again — has been making headlines by lifting the lid on his unhappy relationship with Giovanni Trapattoni, it would appear all sweetness and light between the midfielder and his new manager at Goodison Park.
