Midfielder hoping to enjoy new dawn at Stoke

Stephen Ireland believes being reunited with Mark Hughes will revitalise his career.

Stoke manager Hughes has signed the midfielder on a season-long loan from Aston Villa, where he was failing to make any headway under boss Paul Lambert.

Hughes and Ireland previously worked together at Manchester City during the latter’s time at the club from June 2008 to December 2009.
