Chris Coleman must feel like a broken record, through no fault of his own, these past few days.

Since announcing his squad last week, every press engagement has been dominated by one topic: Gareth Bale’s protracted transfer saga.

The questioning has followed the same pattern throughout, and Coleman has repeated the same points over and over without, admirably, ever showing a slight hint of annoyance.
