QPR insist on Dunne get-out clause

QPR have the option of terminating Richard Dunne’s contract if the Republic of Ireland defender’s injury troubles flare up again.

Dunne joined the Championship club on a one-year deal yesterday, a month after being released by Aston Villa.

The decision to release Dunne came as little surprise given the 33-year-old missed the entirety of Villa’s Premier League campaign last season with a persistent groin injury.
