Cork City manager Tommy Dunne will be hoping to build on last week’s 3-1 victory over Airtricity League champions Sligo Rovers when they travel to take on bottom club Shelbourne at Tolka Park tonight (8pm).

“I was very pleased with the performance against Sligo. We defended well and took our chances when they came our way,” said Dunne.

Back into the squad come Dan Murray, Neal Horgan and John Dunleavy, but Darren Dennehy and Danny Murphy are ruled out by suspension while Colin Healy is still an injured.

Shels boss John McDonnell, desperate to get his team out of the relegation zone, must plan without the injured Paul Crowley (hip) and Dean Kelly (hamstring).

Derry City can draw level on points with leaders St Patrick’s Athletic when they travel to take on fifth-placed Shamrock Rovers at Tallaght Stadium (8pm).

Eoghan Osborne, a recent signing from Dundalk, could make his debut for the Candystripes at left-back but striker Rory Patterson faces a late fitness test.

The Hoops, unbeaten in 10 games, will give a debut to former Derry striker Eamon Zayed now that his Fifa international clearance has been confirmed. Keeper Barry Murphy is ruled out by a rib injury suffered in Tuesday’s 4-0 friendly defeat by Birmingham City.

Bohemians, currently second from bottom and without a win in nine games, will have their work cut when they travel to Oriel Park to take on a Dundalk side on a high after they recorded a 1-0 victory over high-flying Derry at the Brandywell last week.

Manager Aaron Callaghan will be without the injured Ryan McEvoy, Ciaran Nangle and Stephen Traynor, while Andy Mulligan is absence due to his participation at the World University Games in Russia.

Dundalk, with four wins in their last five league games, will start hot favourites and be boosted by the return from suspension of Stephen O’Donnell. Missing from the Lillywhites’ starting line-up will be the injured Chris Shields and Keith Ward.
