Quinn: Dunne may have trouble convincing clubs to take a punt on him
Dunne missed the whole of last season with a persistent groin injury with the exception of a 25-minute cameo in Ireland’s end-of-season friendly over Georgia and former Sunderland chairman Quinn understands why clubs are reluctant to gamble on the 33-year-old.
“If I could take you into the world of what happens when you’re looking for a player. You look at his record over the last year or so. You look at the game-time and the minutes he’s played and there’s a big question mark. That’s why Richard hasn’t seamlessly walked into another club,” Quinn said.
