O’Neill on target in USA U20’s win

O’Neill, the son of former Cork GAA star and double All-Ireland winner Colm, came on as a substitute at half-time and scored just six minutes into the second half.

Although born in Midleton, the big defender was brought up in Colorado and plays for MLS side Colorado Rapids.

O’Neill is still eligible to represent both the USA and the Republic of Ireland at senior level but so far has thrown his lot in with the USA, who he will represent in the upcoming FIFA U20 World Cup.
