Meyler praises Keane’s loyalty

David Meyler has hailed Robbie Keane’s dedication to the cause after the Republic of Ireland skipper persuaded LA Galaxy to release him for Wednesday’s glamour friendly against England.

Last week Keane was ruled out of the Wembley clash and next Sunday’s game with Georgia as the games fell outside Fifa’s international window.

But following talks between Keane and the MLS club, Ireland’s record goalscorer will now be available.
