Emotional Quinn hails parents

Former Republic of Ireland U21 and St Patrick’s Athletic midfielder Stephen Quinn has paid tribute to his late parents after reaching promotion to the Premier League with Hull City.

Quinn has admitted that the only thing that would have made winning promotion even better would have been if parents Alice and John had been there to see it.

He said: “My mum and dad have passed away God bless them and it’s one for them. I’m sure they were looking down on me. I’m really emotional, I just wish they were here for me.
