Bradford’s McHugh stays focused as fairytale final in reach

Carl McHugh’s dreams can become reality tonight if his Bradford City side see out the biggest upset of the season at Villa Park in the Capital One Cup.

His late header — which flew past fellow Donegal man Shay Given — sealed a 3-1 first-leg victory for the League Two Bantams over their top-flight opponents two weeks ago.

The 19-year-old centre-back from the tiny village of Lettmacaward realises it will be defensive prowess — not his scoring threat — which will be relied upon this evening.
