Keane on the mark as Galaxy reach cup final

A penalty from Republic of Ireland captain Robbie Keane helped the LA Galaxy secure a place in the MLS Cup final late on Sunday night.

Galaxy, the defending MLS Cup champions, went into the game against the Seattle Sounders protecting a 3-0 first-leg lead.

They were made to sweat though as Seattle scored twice to trail only by a goal but Keane settled Galaxy’s nerves by converting a goal to make it 4-2 on aggregate.
