Super sub Conlon seals rare Dundalk win
Fellow substitute Mark Leavy’s inch perfect low cross set up the striker to apply a first-time finishinside the post and secure Dundalk’s first win in 19 league games.
The widely travelled striker’s superbly taken effort came 10 minutes from time after Marty Waters equalised for Bray in the 70th minute with a speculative effort from the left of the 18-yard box.
Michael Rafter had put Dundalk ahead after just two minutes. Chris Reilly and Gareth Brady combined in mid-field to find Loran Shannon on the right to whip a ball into the six-yard box to give Rafter the easiest of chances to tap home.
Dundalk then had three other clear chances toincrease their lead in the first half and had a goal by Shannon disallowed foroffside three minutes before the break.
