SD Galway see off Harps

Enda Curran was proving a thorn in Harps’ side and after a mazy run in the 32nd minute he almost opened the scoring, only to be denied by Ciaran Gallagher’s stop.

But ten minutes from half-time Gaffney finally broke the deadlock after Colm Horgan’s clever pass.

The visitors nearly drew level in the 52nd minute, only for Keith Cowan’s looping header to crash back off the crossbar.

And seven minutes from time Enda Curran made sure of the points with a clever finish.
