Modric seals Real deal

Luka Modric finally ended months of speculation after signing a five-year contract with Spanish champions Real Madrid yesterday in a deal believed to be worth in the region of £33million (€41,700,000).

The Croatian international passed a medical at the Bernabeu before being unveiled to a small group of press corps sporting his new colours.

“I’m very happy, honoured and proud to be at the biggest and best club in the world. I’m very excited,” Modric said.
