Kelly: Duff can carry on with Ireland

Ireland international Stephen Kelly reckons there’s no reason why Damien Duff can’t play his part in the 2014 World Cup campaign which begins next month in Kazakhstan.

Kelly saw his Fulham team-mate open the scoring in the side’s 5-0 thrashing of Norwich at Craven Cottage on Saturday — and then insisted there’s much more in the tank from the 33-year-old.

Said Duff’s fellow Dubliner: “I think Damien can still do the business for club and country. His passion for the game is still there and his energy levels are fantastic.
