Crucial clash of the Rovers

In a game which looks pivotal to their hopes of retaining their title, Shamrock Rovers host leaders Sligo Rovers in the Airtricity League Premier Division this evening in front of the Setanta cameras at Tallaght Stadium (8pm).

Crucial clash of the Rovers

Seven points behind Sligo and lying in third place, the Hoops need to maintain their recent resurgence in form if they are to cut the gap at the top. “We won our last two league games, and have kept three clean sheets in-a-row in the league, and we will be looking to keep that going against Sligo,” said Stephen Kenny.

Aaron Greene (knee) and Graham Gartland (back) are ruled out while Pat Sullivan (ankle) and Chris Turner (thigh) will undergo fitness tests before the game.
