Agent: Lucas move to United still possible
Earlier this week Moura’s agent Wagner Ribeiro suggested there was little chance of the 19-year-old joining United this summer as the Red Devils had fallen short in their bid for the Brazilian youngster.
However, Lopes insists the door is not closed. He said: “I don’t rule out the possibility that in the future there are some sort of negotiations, because we received Manchester [United] with great courtesy and left open the possibility of more talks.’’
United boss Alex Ferguson, meanwhile, was full of praise for his side’s second-half performance following their 1-0 victory over Shanghai Shenhua yesterday.
Summer signing Shinji Kagawa scored his first goal for United midway through the second half as United won the Chevrolet China Cup at the Shanghai Stadium.
“I was very pleased with the way we played very well in the second half,” Ferguson said.
“In the first half we had a lot of possession but lacked penetration.
“It’s been a great workout, they were very well organised. They weren’t easy to play against.”
