Can England really win Euro 2012?

It’s startling how quickly and how starkly the mood has changed.

Given all of the issues, from the lack of a manager to the lack of a relationship between key players, it wouldn’t be an exaggeration to describe England’s preparation as the worst they’ve ever experienced.

And yet, just three games and a few days later, there’s a very firm — and surprisingly widespread — belief this could well end up their best tournament in 46 years.
