Timmy Molloy’s strike a minute from time gave SD Galway their first win of the season in 14 games in the Galway derby at Fahy’s Field last night.

Pat Hoban had given Johnny Glynn’s Mervue side the lead seven minutes after the break when Etanda Nkololo benefited from some slack defending before he gave Hoban the easiest of finishes.

In response, Tony Mannion rang the changes and a minute after his introduction substitute Eugene Greaney finished to the net through a crowd of players to draw SD Galway level in the 71st minute.
