Keane: I’m just like boss

The Cap and Il Trap — two sides of the same coin? Given their differences in age and background, it might seem a bit unlikely, but Robbie Keane says he sees a bit of himself in Giovanni Trapattoni.

“Yes, I think we’re quite similar,” says the Ireland skipper. “The two of us can be quite fiery sometimes. I am usually quite laid back but if something needs to be said, I will say it straight away, there’s no question about that. And I think the manager is very similar in that respect. So we’ve had a great relationship, and long may it continue.”

In a Euro 2012 interview for Uefa, Keane also pays tribute to Trapattoni’s coaching and man-management skills.
