North’s double ensures points go west

This was the former St Patrick’s Athletic striker’s 12th goal for Sligo since joining the club. North scored twice either side of half-time before Patrick Millien made in three in the 85th minute, 60 seconds after making his debut as a replacement for North.

Paddy Kavanagh forced Sligo keeper Gary Rogers into a smart save inside a minute of the first half as the Shelbourne man bore down on goal.
