Bray Wanderers recorded their third win of the season when goals in each half by Jason Byrne and Danny O’Connor gave them a narrow victory over Bohemians in a tense clash at the Carlisle Grounds last night.

The Seagulls had their noses in front on 16 minutes when a long clearance by Kevin Knight allowed veteran striker Byrne to outpace Evan Millan on the left and then fire in a brilliant angled shot past keeper Craig Sexton.

The visitors were level on the half-hour when Keith Ward collected a weak clearance from the Bray defence and crossed for Dinny Corcoran to head home.
