Caulker buzzing as Swans hit new heights
The Welsh outfit followed up wins over Wigan and title-chasing Manchester City with another deserved three points.
Gylfi Sigurdsson goals either side of half-time set the Swans on course to victory, which was confirmed when Joe Allen struck late on. Asked if it was Swansea’s best performance of the season, defender Caulker said: “Yeah, I would say so.
“To come to any ground and win in that style and beat a team 3-0 is a fantastic achievement. The boys are buzzing as that is three wins from three.
“The gaffer puts a lot of confidence in us to play in that style and we went out there and did the job.
“I think our home form has been better [than our away performances] this season, but since the turn of the year we have picked up some good away results like this one.”
The Cottagers came into the match unbeaten in six home games but deservedly lost that record, according to defender Brede Hangeland.
“We played against a really, really good team and had a bad day at the office,” he said. “Those two factors combined resulted in a bad result.”
