Giovanni Trapattoni is preparing his Irish team for a battle on the high seas of the European Championships with a pair of battleships.

In the aftermath of Ireland’s 1-1 draw with the Czech Republic, Trapattoni defied his critics by styling himself as the captain of a ship that’s not for turning.

And yesterday, as he attended a Euros finals workshop in the Polish capital Warsaw, Trap the Cap was at it again as he talked up his team’s prospects for the European media.
