Stephen Kelly insists the Ireland squad are not hurt by their critics.

Former Ireland boss Brian Kerr was particularly scathing of Giovanni Trapattoni’s management style and tactics in the friendly with the Czech Republic last week. But Fulham defender Kelly, who played under Kerr at various levels, says the team’s set-up and style qualified them for the summer’s Euro 2012 finals.

“I don’t think it’s hurtful,” said Kelly. “You’re always going to have ex-managers and players criticising but we’ll take that on the chin.
